About
About Thomas Beeston
Holistic strength coach in Cambridge. I help people move better, feel better and build a body that supports the life they want — training, recovery, mindset and purpose coached together.

My background started in sport, competing across everything from team sports and martial arts to yoga and qi gong. That variety shaped my view of training — not as something isolated, but as a blend of movement, mindset and performance. It's also why I train the body in three dimensions rather than only up and down.
I earned three distinctions in Sports Science and Coaching, qualified as a personal trainer, and later studied with the CHEK Institute. With over ten years in the fitness industry, I bring that experience together to offer coaching that is practical, informed and designed to make a real difference.
What I care about most is that you leave training feeling better than when you walked in — moving cleaner, lifting heavier, and understanding why. I'd rather spend ten minutes fixing a hip than sell you a session that just makes you tired.

How I see coaching
Move · Recover · Think · Live
I don't believe in fixing one part of someone while ignoring the rest. The body follows when sleep, stress, mindset and purpose are pulling in the same direction. My coaching weaves these together so training becomes a support system, not another source of pressure.
My influences range from strength coaches and movement specialists to recovery and breathwork practitioners — but I translate all of it into plain English and practical sessions. You don't need to understand the theory to feel the difference.
The app tracks the five inputs behind these four outcomes: Move covers training and daily movement; Recover covers sleep and recovery; Think and Live cover mindset, purpose and connection, reflected day-to-day through the Feel tracker.
How I train
A restless mind, put to work
I was diagnosed with ADHD at five. School didn't suit me, rigid plans didn't suit me, and the standard gym template never suited me either. What did suit me was collecting movement — martial arts, yoga, qi gong, strength training, mobility work — and learning to build sessions on the spot around what a body needs that day.
That spontaneity is now the backbone of my coaching. Clients don't get a random workout; they get a simple, structured plan built from a deep library of styles and techniques, chosen for them in the moment. The breadth is mine; the clarity is yours.
How I work
What you can expect from me
An honest assessment first
We start by looking at how you move, what hurts, and what your week actually allows. The plan comes after that, not before.
Coaching, not counting
You'll be taught technique, not just handed a workout. Understanding why you're doing something is what keeps it working when I'm not stood next to you.
Support between sessions
Training, food, sleep and stress all get looked at together, with check-ins so the plan flexes around real life instead of falling apart.
